IN news that comes as anything but a shock, disgraced Crows forward Kurt Tippett has agreed to allow himself to be removed from Adelaide’s list and to nominate for the AFL’s December 11 pre-season draft.
Tippett will face the AFL commission this Friday as the league moves to rule on the charges that have been laid against him for both salary cap breaches as well as engaging in conduct that is prejudicial to the draft. At its worst Tippett could face rderegistration by the league if he is found to be guilty of these charges.
For his part Tippett remains determined to play for the Sydney Swans but even if he can somehow survive the AFL hearing that ambition could still be thwarted. Greater Western Sydney has made no secret about their interest in him and with Israel Folau’s departure the Giants have money to sign him as well.
